ROWLAND HILDER 1905-1993, studied at Goldsmith's and was determined to be a Marine Artist. He was a prolific commercial illustrator, and during the War, appropriately, was a mainstay of the Government's Camouflage Squad, and worked extensively for the Ministry of Information. After the War he returned to Goldsmith's as a much loved teacher and Professor. He was a landscape watercolourist in the English tradition.
