Geoffrey Wales was a credit to his profession and a great craftsman whose major achievement , Drake's Raid on the Treasure Trains , London (1954) is justly famed. I knew him when we both taught at Norwich School of Art. He was an excellent teacher much loved by his students and despite the prevailing culture of whizz-bang graphics, was a beacon of professionalism.
