The sheep is being rowed down the river among the bulrushes in the top illustration.
Below are two illustrations separated for quite a distance in the actual book but brought together here since it is something of a riddle in the book - who it was who was handling that corkscrew to open the door.  The wallpaper in the fishes’ bedroom looks suspiciously like one of those Damian Hirst ‘dot’ paintings.
