Good afternoon Lana,

I have edited your statements, separating CV
and Artist’s Statement. Adding categories.
People who get to read the document are often
pressed for time so headings reassure them so are
organised. Sending next.

The three projects I just defined as I have for other artistsand you will have your own specific projects in the future. In the meantime, it’s useful to have an organised plan.Sometimes, opportunities arrive and you can respond immediately always adapting later.

In the short term and long term, I suggest you build on
your drawings of human beings by grouping them in ways that satisfy you.

1. Choosing notice board or wall, pin 4 examples up as a linear sequence or 2 x 2. Be patient. What does that tell you about the totality. Maybe try 3 x 3. Think about a portfolio of 8 examples with text beautifully printed.

2. Try a dissolve on the computer between two erotic drawings try different speeds. What is happening? Put them on loop and attack a sound background, perhaps ambient sound, perhaps a musical track? try the dissolve with an applied text of your choice, or the spoken word.

3. As you explore these possibilities, it maybe that
you wish to add specific backgrounds, specific narrativesthat explore pattern and spatial volume. Look at Edvard Munch and others.

4. start storing specific texts that inspire you, maybe listing Ukrainian texts that have attracted you in the past.

I shan’t mind at all if you change any of this.
My suggestions are really to give you the energy to start.

In this light I have recast your CV and Artist’s statement which I will now forward to you.

Best wishes
