TOMB

TABULA RASA

ABSENCE AND POSITIVITY

CM

There is a feeling that an absence is always painful
and negative and has to be escaped from as quickly aspossible. If that is the mainstay of the first room, I suddenlyfelt that a small element (mysterious and a talisman in the corner figuratively speaking) could register the absence as a Tabula rasa.

Flaxman’s classical outlines are interesting if a bitcamp. However in the Dante Illustrations the lines of drawing reduce steadily until he depicts Beatrice’s vision (see beneath)

My thought is not central to the basic trajectory.
Just meant for a discussion and possible incorporation.
Makes the whole Tomb less didactic.
