Gaydos (first name unknown)

A prolific illustrator of industrial scenes, venturing into challenging subjects other people don't touch. Here is an example of his airbrush technique, demonstrating that during the War (May 1944) old familiar products find new uses, or are seen through a new prism. Here Carbon Black is used in the production of synthetic rubber. 40% of a synthetic tyre tread is made from this material which is also used in printing inks.
