I was shocked to hear about Grahame's death. He was an interesting person to dialog with during our years as PhD students at the University of Brighton. Grahame was always well informed about many different topics, and he was corresponding with beatnik author William Burroughs, while Burroughs was living in my childhood home of Lawrence, Kansas, USA. Life is short and Grahame seemed to live it to the fullest.
